7/10/2023 0 Comments Canon 5d slow motion twixtorMy opinion is to do the simplest thing: Shoot 1080p 25 and just slow down by 50% the scenes you want to be slow.I know its a bit stuttering, I know its not REAL slow motion but if use it wisely it can be fine. I have seen great results with twixtor and some really bad ones.how well can you use it? Twixtor is a good option especially if you re shooting daylight and you have the oportunity to use high shutter speeds.but of course the result is very dependent on the motion of your scenes and some things might look unnatural. Twixtor is more accurate than other comparable plugins. You just need to create the configuration for it. You can use the addon to apply various video effects, such as acceleration and slow-motion. What maarek said about shooting slightly out of focus in order to avoid moire is an option of course, but I would not dare trying it, because the difference between acceptable out of focus and totally unacceptable blurry footage is REALLY small,Įspecially if you re judging focus from the LCD of the camera. Actually, it is a dedicated plugin which is 100 compatible with several software programs like these. Preset anamorphic - 2.While I can accept a bit of moire here and there in my shots, I never shoot 720p because in that mode it can be noticeable even to the untrained eyes of your clients. In anamorphic 10bit uncompressed camera start/stop rec with gimbal button, focus work well, record 15-30 second and stop (this is the one way i found it work for the short takes) In anamorphic 14bit lossless, focus work, camera won't recording video, and go in error, needs restart (log on a screen) Wait for SD patching (if you use this patch)Ĭonnection is different and works not so good, connection with gimbal usbC-miniUSB Switch Camera to Photo Mode (the most important thing)Ħ. in anamorphic 14bit lossless continuousĬonnection with gimbal MCC-microUSB(+adapter microUSB(female)-MiniUSB(male))ģ. Works well, start/stop rec gimbal button, focus and etc. I watch this topic a lot of time, can tell something and want to ask few questions Thank you Danne and all team who are still work with this build! Its something amazing! maybe 60mb/s is perfectly fine?Īlso, my battery seems to be drained relatively fast (from 100% to 90% in around 5-10 minutes). Now that slow motion videos are quite aesthetic and used in many ways, this plugin is quite useful. However, I might be mistaken about the write speed of my CF cards. It excels at difficult tasks like keyframed speed scaling but can also produce fluid slow-motion video. mov file to CF card? (main reason for this is I have more space and the faster card in SD). is there any way I could do this the other way round? MLV to SD card. As soon as i add the proxy h.264 option, the MLV file will be recorded onto the CF card, despite the SD card being my preferred card selection. This happens in all modes other than manual mode (AV,TV), no matter whether sound on or off, or 14bit or 12bit uncompressedĭoes Proxy only work reliably in Manual mode? Gold - Mizuno Hulk Morelia Neo Launch - Branded Content / Product Viral. (jumping to 12800 or 6400 ISO, for whatever reason)Įxposure is fine, as soon as I switch off the proxy again. As soon as I add the proxy h.264 setting, the videos (both, the proxy and the MLV) are largely overexposed. To check the video after shooting, I would like to use the proxy h.264 video, instead of the slow MLV player. To keep the video recording stable and reliable, I am sticking to HD (FF or 1:1). I have a highspeed SanDisk Extreme Pro 256gb 170mb/s, and a SanDisk Extreme 60Mb/s CF card (several sizes) I am using ML version "crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_isogain_1x3_presets_2021Feb07.5D3123" - 5d mk iii (installed on CF card atm, since i thought i would use the SD card for recording mainly) check the video after recording to see if the footage is useable use LiveView for focusing (and check composition etc)ģ. shoot RAW video, with reliable and stable (enough) settings (therefore HD for me)Ģ. With other types of footage, you have to do a ton of customizing with the controls. With the right kind of footage, this works amazingly well. (there's a slight chance that I am asking something that has been answered before, but sometimes I gets confusing when reading though years of conversation on the forum, and then to work out what has been updated and what hasn't. Twixtor makes a good estimation of the movement of the detail areas (luminance) and predicts where things in the scene will move then creates new frames with these estimates.
